Rapper Prezzo has revisited the controversial interview he did with Betty Kyallo in 2016 at KTN.
During the interview that became a heated subject of discussion online, Prezzo reportedly appeared to be drunk and got touchy with Betty, thus making the room more awkward. He also failed to observe protocols of the show lineup, like guests who had been hosted previously.
Speaking in an interview with digital crearors, Prezzo however blamed Betty for his on air conduct while denying claims that he was drunk or high on a substance.
He also revealed that KRG is the one who introduced him to Betty leading to the interview. He also noted that he made Betty famous from the interview as she was unknown previously.
“Hakuna njia mtu unaweza kuingia kwa radio station au TV station kama umelewa na wakuruhusu. Ningeenda pale nianze kuongea vile walikuwa wanategemea niongee, wasingekuwa wananiongea . Ningeenda pale niseme mimi naitwa Jackson Ngechu Makini mi ni msanii, wasingeniskiza. Huyo mtangazaji alikuja kujulikana kwa sababu yangu mimi.
“So nilipoenda pale nikasema nini kitanitofautisha pamoja na wengine, mimi ni Prez najiaminia kufa na kupona, so nikafika pale of course you know mimi ni entertainer, huyo mtangazaji kuna maswali alikuwa anauliza ambayo nilikuwa naona kwamba anajaribu kunidhalilisha so you know if you ask stupid questions you get stupid answers,” the rapper said.
Prezzo further expressed his displeasure on the media focusing on the interview yet the following day he had been involved in charity works.
“If you look at that interview very well, every move was calculated. So there is no way you can go into a radio or tv station while drunk, number two if you are acting disorderly, they still won’t let you in. So the things that people saw was the edited version of which I don’t even complain about it
“At the end of the day for me ukinitreat na heshima nitakutreat na heshima, kama tuko kwa national television halafu unajaribu kuniweka under the bus nitakupatia vidonge zako. Huyo mtangazi ni beshte yangu, inafaa anishukuru na pia watu wanishukuru kwa sababu baada ya hio interview ndio alikuja akajulikana kama hamunianimi rudini nyuma mnikosoe,” Prezzo said.
He further said that he is in good terms with Betty after the incident.
