Mumias East MP Peter Salasya  is set to Organise a prayer day for the Mumias sugar company to celebrate the liberation of the  company from cartels.

The outspoken MP said that the event will be held at the sugar factory and is also intended to give thanks to their fore fathers who have been speaking through him.

He is however yet to set the date for the much anticipated event.

“Big day for thanksgiving  is coming.  I will announce the day for the lord has remembered  us through  maneno ni matatu. Our people  have suffered  injustice for a long time under the cartels. Even to thank the forefathers of our land who have been speaking through me, who have been giving me the courage,” he said.

Salasya urged Mumias residents top come in large numbers to attend the event, saying that he loves them so much.

” So we will be having a thanksgiving day at Mumias Sugar Factory to thank God for what  he has done for the,for he has remembered us, so ladies and gentlemen, we will announce the date, it is going to be a good event and we are going to announce it .It is going to be a momentous moment for our people because they have suffered under the cartels for a very long time,” he said.
