Pauline

Digital communication strategist and blogger Pauline Njoroge has said she will not be Silenced by government’s attempts to intimidate her with arrests.

The vocal blogger was dramatically arrested on the afternoon of Saturday 22 July over Allegations of being in possession of Bhang and Psychotropic substances.

Taking to her Facebook page, Pauline has sworn she will not remain silent and watch the current regime infringe the constitutional rights of Kenyans. She has accused the government of taking back the country into the dark days of dictatorship. She however vowed to continue fighting for people’s democracy.

“I Shall Not be Silenced! By detaining us you only strengthened our resolve. We will not sit and watch as some fellows try to turn the clock back, recreating our country’s dark past. Because of our present circumstances, the responsibility to guard our hard earned freedom has fallen upon our generation” Pauline stated.

The vocal blogger further accused the police of planting bhang and other narcotics on her claiming she had never set eyes on the product before her arrest.

“One officer came with a roll of Bhang and said she had found it behind the TV. Nduta (her friend) and the officer engaged in a back and forth. That was the first time in my life I was seeing a roll of Bhang. My friends can confirm that,” Pauline said.

She added that the government is still plotting to come with better charges against her as their previous accusations do not hold the waters enough.

“I still do not know what crime I had committed to warrant my detention. As we speak, my gadgets are with the cyber crime unit in Kiambu road because the powers are desperately still trying to get something to pin on me after their previous attempt failed terribly and exposed their evil scheme,” she said.

The Jubilee party digital communications thanked her friends, family, fans and the media for standing with her and for the truth while she was still in custody.
