Popular Mugithi singer Samwel Muchoki Ndirangu aka Samidoh has shown off his KCPE certificate proving that he was good in academics.

The primary school certificate indicated that Samidoh sat for his exams at Kieni Primary school and he was index one. He scored a B+ and an A- in English and Swahili languages respectively.

Captioning the photo, Samidoh said that his dream was to become a lawyer.

“Huyo index one wa kwenyu anafanyanga nini siku hizi? I aspired to be a lawyer. Saa hii mimi ni one man guitar aka singing policeman. Dreams not shattered bado nakula mbuku,” the father of five said on Facebook.

Samidoh proceeded to share the full copy of his certificate in the comments section after questions about mathematics and his math teacher arose. The artist proudly showcased that he scored a C+ in the subject. He also got a B+ in Social studies and  clean A in  Science.

“Hehe mko curious, mimi na mwalimu wa Maths hatukuwa tunasikizana sana otherwise,” he said.

Having completed his studies at Kieni Primary School, Samidoh joined Kieni secondary School in 2004 before transferring to Oljororok Secondary School the same year.  In 2011, he joined Kenya Polytechnic University to pursue a course in Business Information Technology. He joined Administration Police Services after completing the course.

Samidoh landed the AP job after taking his papers to the District Commissioner to apply for  job.

His passion in music however began when he was still in school. After High school he joined a Nairobi band as a back up singer. His elder brother was the band’s drummist. His solo music career kicked off in 2016 with his debut song being Ndiri Mutwe mwega (My head isn’t straight).
