Earlier this month, Sauti Sol announced that they will be holding their last shows in the country before they proceed to their upcoming hiatus.

The concert dubbed Sol Fest will be held in two categories that is  a VIP concert that will be held on November 2 and Fans Show that will go down on November 4. Tickets for the two shows are going for Kshs20,000 and Kshs6,500 respectively.

According to Bien, they had to hike the prices because the cost of hosting the event had gone up as well. He added that they were sorry but asked fans to understand them.

“Economy ni mbaya Nyi wasee hata kwetu. The cost of everything in that festival imeenda juu. Mafuta ikienda juu pia wages za wasee tunahire on the ground zinapanda. Kuna transport  kuna so many other elements zenye that factor in the ticket price but poleni tungependa mu understand. We are not trying to take advantage of people. Lakini pia tunawapatia  20 years of our lives. We have been together for 20 years  so when you see us on stage that ticket is worth the 20 years we have been together ,” Bien said.

Savara, on the other hand, said that the Sauti Sol festival is a chance for relieving Kenyans from the stress of tough economical times.

“We are breaking a certain monotony. We are giving you chance to have a good time to stay away from bad economy, you know things are bad everywhere. So that change of mindset, we are giving you an entertainment away from life’s troubles so come and enjoy your self like have a good drink if you like to dance, rejoice. dance,” he said.
