Sauti Sol

Sauti Sol have once again caught fans by surprise after announcing that band members will take a break from working as a group later this year.

According to the boy band, the hiatus marks a new beginning for them after being together for over 20 years.

“While the indefinite hiatus marks the end of a specific chapter, it also represents a new beginning for Sauti Sol. As close friends and business partners, the band members: Bien Aimé Baraza, Chimano Willis, Polycarp Otieno, and Savara Mudigi, are eager to explore fresh creative avenues and embark on personal endeavors. However, their friendship and vision will continue to be the driving force behind their future projects,” the band said in a statement.

The group is set to embark on a world tour that will see them hold final concerts in Canada, United States and Europe between May 21 and September 3.

“This tour is a celebration of a remarkable journey filled with excitement for the future and a testament to the enduring bond of friendship and partnerships built over 20 years in the industry,” the statement further read.
