Azziad

Radio girl and content creator Azziad Nasenya has opened up on the lowest moment of her life that saw her nearly take away her life.

This happened when she went viral after taking part in the “Utawezana” challenge, that made her become popular in the country.

The bullying that accompanied the video made her become suicidal and she also wanted to do away with her social media accounts.

“I think the bullying. Kuna siku niliamka…I tell you it was hectic. There was this day, hii sijawahisema before, nilikuwa naishi fourth floor. That is the first time I am living alone  am in this one bedroom, my mum was paying the rent of course. After the video, the video did not shock me, a lot of people asked me how did you feel? It did not shock me because I had done videos that went viral on TikTok before, it was happening. For me I was like it was another one it’s just that it went viral in our country. It was different people knew me so it escalated,” she narrated during an interview with Dr. Ofweneke.

Azziad said that she was okay with people sharing it because it was a sign of love. However, before she knew it, the love turned into hatred.

“It changed like a day or a day and a half. I remember I was crying, it was terrible I am alone, it’s in the middle of a lockdown. I literally went to my balcony and I  was like is this where God you let me go? It was that bad. I thought of it but I had a strong team, I had my management there, my friends, not there there but they were on phone,” the 23-year old said.

Her team visited her the next morning. However thinking about it, Azziad could not understand why people were mad at her for just dancing.

“I was just a teenager, I was just doing what I was doing for the pats one year, what do you mean someone is mad just because I danced. I did not hurt anyone, I was just having fan. It was like my lowest moment. In that moment I was crying, talking to my boyfriend, talking to my manager. He is like relax just hang in there, hio ndio tiume niko like nidelete, niende nifanye nini. It was like a whole night, naenda bedroom narudi,” she said.
