With a heavy heart, Comedian Eric Omondi has shared the devastating news of the death of baby Pyden Mudoga.

Baby Pyden is a one-month-old baby who had developed a cancerous growth in the mouth. Last week, Eric organized a fundraiser for the minor to get treatment.

“We have lost baby Pyden.  Pyden was a very Strong Baby…He fought a good fight. He ran his race. In the short time that he lived, he taught me great lessons. He taught Resilience. He has rested. We will remember him as a Legend. We will Celebrate his life. We will send him off as a PRINCE. May God give him rest. We will not lose hope, we will bury him as a soldier with our heads high. Once again Thank you to ALL who Contributed. We shall Continue. ,” the comedian said.

He further revealed that they were able to raise Kshs1.42 million. The self proclaimed president of comedy added that he had mixed feeling after being informed of the death of the minor.

“I visited him every evening. he was a fighter and gave it his all, but God has his plan. Part of me felt very sad, and yet still a part of me felt a bit of peace because Pyden was in a lot of pain, writhing in a lot of pain from morning to evening. every time I saw Pyden he was always crying, and I felt like he has rested. That kind of pain is too much for a baby,” Eric Omondi said.

According to him, the deceased would be still alive if the country had good  healthcare.

“A few things have to change in this country, especially systems especially in hospitals. We need a solution because Pyden would be alive today. We are not going to lose hope  we are not going to bow our heads down, we are going to remember Pyden as a legend. and because of that we are not going to lose any other person,” he said.

He further promised to change the lives of Pyden’s parents by relocating them from Kawangware as well as open a businesses for them.
