Controversial TikToker Brian Chira has been arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts and  he is expected to take a plea on defamation charges levelled against him.

Chira was driven to the court by police officers from the Wilson Airport police station, where he was being held since his arrest on Thursday night last week.

According to a video shared online by SPM Buzz, the 23-year was handcuffed as he was escorted to the court premises.

Chira found himself in trouble with Azziad after hurling insults at her. He accused her of being a h*e and went ahead to publish her private phone number on TikTok.

Azziad’s lawyer, Gertrude Kibare confirmed that she had decided to pursue the case.

“Some time last week he went live online and also shared Azziad’s contacts. My client has been buzzed with a lot of calls and messages since then. Chira allegedly committed computer misuse and cyber crimes and my client decided to pursue the matter legally. The matter is under investigation,” the advocate said.

The incident however caused mixed reactions among Kenyans with someone calling out Azziad for taking legal action against the TikToker. Others supported Azziad saying that  her action will serve as a lesson to Chira and other people who love to bully others online.

“Azziad Na yeye amekuwa petty, pushing for the arrest of busy bodies like Brianb Chira  is a misuse of her access to power,” a Twitter user reacted.

“Azziad good job hun. Chira just be humble, fame comes and goes but your personalitu sticks, be watchful next time,” Pritty Vishy said on TikTok.
