Safaricom has announced that its subscribers who have not utilized their bonga points in the last three years risk losing them.

This after the telecommunications company recorded loses over un utilised bonga points.

“The accumulated Bonga points will be expiring after three years. We have noticed that they are usually dormant hence becoming a liability to us if unclaimed,” Safaricom said.

Safaricom’s new move which aims at retrieving 4.5 Billion as of March will see bonga points acquired before December 31, 2019, expire on January 1, 2023.

Upon redeeming the points the subscribers can use them as free internet, airtime or paying bills

All subscribers who might be affected by these move , are being called upon to use the available time and redeem their points.
