Popular Content creator Lawrence  Macharia popularly known as Terence Creative has revealed that he almost lost his leg when he was a child as a result of suffering from malnutrition.

Speaking in an interview in the wicked edition on NTV, the funny man revealed that doctors wanted to cut off his legs because they were too feeble.

The crafty content creator said that it was his grandmother was the one intervened in the situation as she saw an alternative that would not involve loosing his leg.

“Nikiwa mdogo nilikuwa na miguu inayogongana. Kwa kweli ilikuwa nikatwe miguu juu ya utapia mlo , nyanya yangu akakataa. Nilikuwa natembea kidogo naanguka juu ya utapiamlo Nimeteseka. Nitaandika kitabu,” he said.

Terence added that his grandmother gave him a lot of fruits that helped get his legs back in good shape.

“Miguu haikuwa na nguvu. Haikuwa n anguvu ya kusimama ilikuwa ikatwe nyanya yangu alikataa akaambiwa anipee matunda. Na unajua alikuwa mama wa sokoo sasa ni kunisukumia tunda moja baada ya lingine,” he shared.

Terence revealed that the fruits with their nutritional  value gave his legs the strength to support his body.

While talking about his childhood life the comedian narrated how he experienced a rough upbringing in the slums of Mathare.

“Mimi nimekulia Mlango Kubwa, eneoa la Mathare Majirani zetu wengi walikuwa wakamba. Hapo tulikuwa tunakaa mimi , nyanya yangu, kaka watatu watatu na wajomba wangu wawili. Tulikaa watu kam wanane kwa chumba cha mraba. Mama yangu aliponizaa alinipeleka kwa mama yake. Yeye alikuwa anapitia hapo tu akiangalia kama niko. Mimi ndiyo last born,” Terence explained.

He also revealed that when he resided in Mathare while he was still young he became a homeless child due to the harsh conditions at home. At a point in his life he narrated that he resorted to theft with his brothers.
