Mike Sonko has astounded many after he partook to a liquor House along Kiambu road where he spent Kshs1.03 million to buy alcohol aimed at celebrating the retired president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Sonko shared a video on his social media platforms, showing his visit to the liquor store, where he selected some of the finest alcoholic brands, including Hennessy.
The politician picked out four bottles of alcohol, with a combined cost of a staggering KSh1.03 million.
In a heartfelt caption accompanying the video, Sonko revealed that he also purchased a cake and a card to celebrate President Kenyatta as he marked his 62nd birthday.
The former president celebrated his birthday on Thursday 26 October 2023 .
Sonko awaited until Friday so that he can celebrate his erstwhile political ally by passing off the extravagant move to show off his admiration for him and wishing him good health and long life.
“HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, MY FORMER BUDDY UHURU MUIGAI KENYATTA. it is written in the book of Matthew 5:43. “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” I celebrate the former President H.E Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. May the Good lord give him good health and long life as he celebrates his 62nd birthday” he wrote.
He also sought to make peace with the former head of state by forgiving Uhuru and asking God to forgive him as well.
“I have gifted him with a cake, card and some finest drinks as a sign of missing the happy good days we use to spend together before and after he became president. Happy Birthday my brother and may your additional year bring you happiness. May GOD forgive me for the insults , unkind words and anything I have said to provoke you in revenge. I have also forgiven you for all the wrong doings and persecution. May you live long. God bless you and your family” sonko said. There are however no indications whether president responded to the gesture,” he said.
