The body of the late Instagram model Shan Wanita has allegedly been stolen from the mortuary.

According to the deceased mother, her body was being kept at Umash Funeral Home. The devastated mother claims that her daughter’s body was stolen by some family members whom they had differences with.

She insisted that she was heading nowhere until Shan’s body is returned to Umash.

“My daughter was supposed to be buried tomorrow, there’s some family issues which is supposed to be sorted out. Some people came here, do called relatives they stole my daughters body. I am here in Umash na sitoki hapa kama sija….body ya mtoto wangu haijarudi hapa that’s all,” she told reporters.

The late models’ mom said that she was told by a worker at Umash that she couldn’t collect her body without the required papers.

“I received the news I… I called Umash at around 3;30,eehhh the lady who responded to me she told me sina right ya kuchukua mtoto kama sina papers,” she added.

She further stated that she together with Shan’s siblings have never laid her eyes on the body ever since she was taken to Umash.

“No, I’ve never even seen my body the body since my daughter died, even the siblings have never seen the body,” she said

Shan’s mother told the family members who took Shan’s body to return the body to the morgue in order to facilitate and plan her burial as her biological mother.

She also hinted that they have never been in good terms with her family since her husband passed and they had family issues to sort out.

“No were are not in good terms with my family, since my hubby died,”  the bereaved mother informed.

Her main concern is that she was not given enough time to mourn for her daughter.

However, this act shocked a netizen, who claimed to be one of the family members, as each expressed their feelings on Instagram comment section.

“Yawa. People post things without getting the story. Relax no one stole the body . It it’s just that the people who admitted the body signed out the body at her request. Stop painting us as evil family and get the story. Shan is at home I’m wondering why the drama she was not there to sign in the body in the first place had two weeks to go view the body in the morgue. Sometimes you should leave family issues out of your contents we are mourning a young beautiful soul she doesn’t deserve these dramas. And get two sides of the story,” Hanifa_Moha 254 said

The model died on the spot after being involved in a grisly road accident a few days ago. She was travelling together with her three friends when the unfortunate incident occurred.
