Presenter Ali

Digital content creator Presenter Ali has responded to those who criticized his gender reveal party. Such people included Andrew Kibe and Vincent Mboya.

Kibe said that Presenter Ali was acting by jumping since the event had been sponsored,

In an interview with Mungai Eve Media, Presenter Ali however said that he was just excited to find out that his unborn child was a girl, since his desire was to have a baby girl.

“People are saying that I had planned to jump, you can’t predetermine an action. There has to be an action and then a reaction. The action was to get a daughter that I wanted so badly. The reaction just came naturally. I can’t say now that if I get a son I will  dance it can’t happen that way. It just happens naturally. It was my way of showing excitement. Another man would have cried, another one would have thrown himself on the floor it was just my way of showing happiness,” he said.

On the other hand, Mboya had trolled Ali for not inviting him. In his Insta stories, Mboya claimed that the event did not trend because he was not there. Ali however said that he did the event for himself, his wife and unborn child, and not for the purpose off trending.

“Sometimes we don’t do things to trend. Sometimes we just wanna do things for ourselves. If you look carefully in that gender reveal, I had invited my close friends. If I had wanted it to trend I would have invited the likes of Eric Omondi, KRG to come and lie that they have given me half a million. At the end of the day, I wanted something for me, my wife and my child.  All those invited, it is the beginning of them being in my child’s life. I am really shocked that people nowadays do events to trend. Most of us do our events for ourselves. Kama haikutrend alijua aje? Some things you just look at them you don’t want to engage in some conversations,” the YouTuber said.

Presenter Ali further said that he was not able to invite many people because the capacity of the location could also not allow. He added that his financial situation could also not allow him to host a big gathering.

“We don’t have the ability to invite 500 or 600 people. I had like 70 people and a plate of food was coming to around Kshs2000 per person. If I inited content creators and celebrities there would be around 300 people when you look at the budget, I ask myself will I help my child or call people to an event,” he said.
