Mwanaisha Abdalla, popularly known as Nyota Ndogo, has revealed that she is expecting a baby with her Danish husband Henning Nielsen.
The coast based singer announced that she is pregnant by uploading her photo while holding her pump. She however didn’t caption the photo. This will be the couple’s first child together, coming 7 years after they got married.
Her fans and followers were happy for her and send in congratulatory messages and their best wishes.

Another Instagram user wrote, ” Congratulations Nyota and may the good Lord keep you and the baby safely.”

The pregnancy update comes just two years after Nyota revealed that, with her husband, they had not planned to have children. At the time, their marriage was hanging on a loose rope because of a pregnancy prank that Nyota had played on her husband during April Fools Day. She told Nielsen that she was pregnant through a phone call and the information saw her husband hang up and stay away from Kenya for sometime.
“We talked about having children, he said we have five of them, we don’t need another one. By five children, he meant my daughter and son, and his own three children. He then argued that he is an adult, with grandchildren. He said, ‘I want when I retire and come to Kenya, we travel all over the world, and not baby sitting’,” she said in a live stream on Instagram.
It however remains uncertain whether the Nielsen is happy about Nyota Ndogo’s pregnancy.
