Popular Bongo musician Juma Jux and Vanessa Mdee were the talk of town when they were dating each other.

After a series of an on and off relationship, the two called it quits permanently in 2018, highly disappointing their fans and supporters.

After the break up, Vanessa moved to the States and found love with American-based musician and actor Rotimi in 2019. In December 2020, he proposed to her and they have since been blessed with two children, Seven, a boy, and Imani, a girl.

Jux on the other hand is said to be dating Karen Bujulu.

It is evident that the Vanessa and Jux have moved on from their romance. Jux however recently revealed that he was deeply hurt when he heard that Vanessa had moved on with Rotimi

“Niliumia, sio mchezo niliumia kweli.” (I was hurt, I was really hurt for sure)” he  told his fans in a recent show in Arusha.

Previously, his fans urged him to impregnate Bujulu so avoid a similar situation that was witnessed with Vanessa whereby they dated for nearly 10 years but in the end they broke up.

Two years after ending things with Jux, Vanessa announced that she had quit music.  During the Deep Dive  podcast in 2020, she said that that the music industry is demonic and she needed to chose her life.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this but my mission is to be a light. I know that I will probably disappoint a few people and that’s okay, I know that my fans don’t wanna hear this but guess what I am never gonna be too far away from you, trust me. The reason why I had to leave the industry is because I needed to choose my life, the music industry is demonic. People will tell you half-truths about what goes on, and the truth is I just wanna be an advocate for honesty and beauty and a sincere advocate for what facing your demons can do for you.

“Now my fans are probably asking themselves right now; Are you gonna never sing again? Are we gonna never see you perform? Let me reiterate, I love music, I love to create, I love to perform, I’m a vessel, this is what I was brought on earth to be, but maybe I was a vessel to be here in this moment to have gone through everything that I have gone through so that I can tell you most honestly the truth about things you will never hear somewhere else,” the mothger of two said.
