Gachagua, Kenya’s deputy president, jetted back to the country quietly as his colleagues enjoyed a state banquet with the King and Queen at the state house.

The former Mathira member of parliament missed the welcome party and banquet as he was away on official duty in Germany.

The banquet was graced by A lists politicians but the presence that has left tongues wagging the most is that of the Azimio Chairperson Raila Odinga.

Rumor has it, that it was intentionally planned for Gachagua to not be in the country to avoid a political clash between him and his political rival Mr. Odinga.

The president, William Ruto, confirmed Odinga’s presence at the banquet after he shared candid photos from the event. One that caught the attention of hawk-eyed netizens depicted the opposition leader in deep talks with the King as Ruto watched from a distance.

The President stated that the King’s visit was a testament to the immense accomplishments achieved by the two nations during their 6 decades of strong dynamic and fruitful bilateral relations.

”The visit by his majesty and Queen Camillais the showcase of the immense accomplishments achieved by Kenya and the United Kingdom during six decades of strong dynamic and fruitful bilateral relations.” Ruto captioned.

Seemingly excited by Raila’s presence in the state banquet held in honor of the King, Kenyans flocked the president’s comment section armed with opinions on the whole event.
