Social media influencer Amira has taken action against a female netizen who has been defaming her.

According to Amira, the woman identified as Irene Mwende has been saying distasteful things about her online and even dragging her children as well as her late father.

While sharing a letter of demand from her lawyer, Amira said that the woman in question had blocked her lawyer on WhatsApp.

“This woman has been bullying me for long and I am tired. I have more than 15 screenshots of different things you have been writing about me. I hope you were ready to be sued for defamation. Her socials are the life of Irene and has 100 pseudos. Hope you are aware that the letter has been sent to KEBS(her place of work). Since you have blocked my lawyer on Whatsapp, haya vuta stool uisomee hapa,” Amira said.

In one of the screenshots, Mwende claimed that Jimal(Amira’s ex-husband) had an affair with Amira’s sister.

In the demand letter however, Amira’s lawyers noted that the defamatory statements from Mwende have seen their client suffer a great deal.

“The said false and defamatory statements have inflicted great prejudice to and seriously injured and subjected our client to considerable agony, distress and mental torture. The same has also exposed her to scandal, odium, suspicion, opprobrium, contempt to her clients and society at large,” part of the document read

The legal team demanded her to issue a written apology and retract her defamatory statements within 7 days failure to which an appropriate legal proceeding will be taken against her.
