Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has admitted to undergoing a cosmetic surgery to enhance her appearance

In an interview with TV presenter Faridah Nakazibwe, Zari said that she underwent liposuction to remove excess fat from her tummy and legs.

I just removed the excess fat within my legs and tummy,” she confirmed.

According to her, that is not plastic surgery which involves addition of synthetic materials. She added hat the surgery she underwent  rather involves removal of fat from specific areas of her body.

Zari emphasized that there is nothing wrong with undergoing cosmetic surgery and that people often misunderstand the process.

“I just took fat out of my body where I felt like it was not necessary. I have had five kids, natural births, and every time you give birth, you are left with a mummy tummy. I used to exercise, but that mummy tummy did not go away, and I needed to get rid of it, and there is nothing wrong with it,” she said.

Zari further explained that in her world, South Africa, cosmetic surgery is considered a lifestyle choice. She expressed her belief that if one can afford it, there is no harm in undergoing such procedures.

The socialite also dismissed her critics confidently, asserting that they only discuss her in jealousy, wishing they could look as good as she does.

“Surgery is a lifestyle so many people are doing it daily, but for you, you have no happiness or peace, you have to highlight everything Zari does. You have a Zari syndrome, sis, when will you heal?” she said.

Answering the question how much did the surgery cost zari said  that she underwent the procedures  in South Africa, which is known to be more expensive compared to other locations such as Turkey.

Zari said that her surgeries cost her over $10,000 (approximately ksh 1,411,000).
