Otile’s music video director Destin Kaleba, also known as Deska Torres, has claimed that he experienced a physical attack from a former acquaintance at his residence in Kahawa West, Nairobi.
As per the records submitted to the Kahawa West Police Station, the confrontation between Deska and the individual in question, Jackson Kuria, escalated into a violent incident, resulting in significant injuries.
Kuria happens to be a prison warden at Kamiti Prison.
The information documented at the Kahawa West Police Station was reported under OB number 04/13/10/2023.
The conflict began when Kuria accused Deska of having a romantic relationship with Kuria’s former partner, whom they share a child.
“He kicked the door, stormed in, and accused me of sleeping with his baby mama. He started attacking me, and when I tried to defend myself, he bit my nose and ear. Fortunately, neighbours intervened, allowing me to escape from the house. It was only then that I realised my car’s tires had been deflated. Later, when I returned for my belongings, I found my Mac Book Pro M2, Tecno Spark Go phone, and three hard disks smashed,” Deska narrated his gruesome ordeal.
This incident isn’t the initial occasion when Deska has encountered a life-threatening situation. Only a year ago, he was engaged in a hit-and-run incident with an armed individual who posed as a DCI officer.
While Deska Torres was in the process of dropping off singer Yung Koded near Fedha, Embakasi, close to midnight, a drunken driver collided with his vehicle and then fled the scene.
In response, Torres initiated a pursuit, racing toward the errant driver and blocking his path. Concurrently, Yung Koded live-streamed the entire nighttime episode on his Instagram account.
Undaunted, upon realizing he was being recorded, the driver resorted to threatening Torres and Koded with a firearm. He demanded that they release him, or he would use his weapon. Faced with this dangerous situation, they ultimately relented and allowed the driver to depart.
Subsequently, they made the decision to report the incident at the Embakasi police station. This led to the issuance of an OB number 07/06/02/2022, and the authorities took charge of the matter.
