Parents to the late student Miriam Namanjaja who died as a result of food poisoning have taken legal action against the school and are demanding for compensation for their loss.

Their lawyer Mr. Abel Nyaberi have laid out claims that the unfortunate death of the student who was in form two at the time of her demise was as a result of the school’s negligence.

In addition to their claims, the lawyer named the school’s board of Governor’s chairman, Father Vincent Mukokho, it’s principal, former principal Frida Ndolo as the key leaders who overlooked the situation and as a result failed to prevent and protect the three students and a teacher that  who lost their lives.

“It is now within our knowledge that the unfortunate deaths were as a result of the institutions total negligence as to the health and safety of its students as well as teachers and staff who know well that it was Their duty as board to care for their safety and you deliberately neglected,” Mr Nyaberi addressed the school board.

The family also decried the untimely death of their child noting that it brought agony and a gap that will never be filled by anyone.

These comes after the school experienced a fatal incident of food poisoning that led to hospitalization of over 125 students and subsequent death of three students and a teacher.

The deaths were attributed to massive failure of multiple organs in their body.
