Douglas Muchela, a cook at Sacred Heart Mukumu girls’ is the latest victim to face the axe in relation to the unfortunate incident that claimed the lives of three students and a teacher at the school.

Douglas has revealed that he was sacked following the school’s board concluded that he had that he given excess  information regarding the institution’s welfare without consulting the head cook and cateresses.

Muchela who confirmed that he had received two letters from the principal outlining the reason for his dismissal noted that he had issued multiple warnings to the school principal about the state of the kitchen but his concerns were in vain.

“I am now at home without a job and this is because I did what was necessary. I stand by the truth and what happened at Mukumu Girls’ was not right, that is why I spoke about it’

Muchela who in his defence claims he did nothing wrong added that one of the reasons he was sacked was because he was too reluctant to take orders from his bosses.

“The letter I was given says I did not follow orders from my bosses, the head cook and the cateresses, the distressed cook said faulting his joblessness as a result of upholding integrity.

“I still do not know what I did wrong and it’s unfair they let me go,” he said.

Other staff who were suspended in relation with the incident included the head cook who was convicted with inciting his fellow cook, the cateress and two nurses.

Muchela who is believed to be the whistleblower  has been sacked 2 years prior to his official retiring date.
