Popular music producer J Blessing is trending for all the wrong reasons.

This after he was accused by his alleged baby mama and songbird Judy Nyambura alias Avril of physical assault.

On Tuesday, November 14, the Mimi na wewe hitmaker took to social media to expose J Blessing, by sharing a photo of her bruised face, with the caption lifting a lid on how she found herself in the situation.

“J Blessing unikome, mb*a hii,” she shared and immediately deleted the photo.

The story was shared by a popular gossip site and the comments that it attracted did not sit well with Avril.

“Going through comments and I’m in utter shock… this is why people never report this shit, post this shit… ’cause y’all make people actually want to kill themselves after all they’ve been through… have a laugh… enjoy… bye,” she said.

J Blessing has since been contacted by Nairobi News about the incident.

“He laughed it off hinting that if he chooses to address the issue, he would do so through his social media platforms,” the news site stated.

For long, Avril and J Blessing have been rumoured to be in a romantic relationship but neither of them has ever confirmed that. He is however believed to be the father of Avril’s son, who was born in 2018.

The music producer also shares a 10-year old son with Radio Maisha’s presenter Mwende Macharia. In the recent years, the two have been uniting for their son’s birthdays, showing that their co-parenting is successful. Mwende also has another child, the youngest, from a different relationship but the father remains unknown.

Mwende and J Blessing dated for a while and broke up while she was pregnant. According to her, they broke up due to ‘fundamental issues in a relationship.’

After the breakup, J Blesising moved on with Tokelezea hitmaker Chantelle, who currently plays the role of Shantel in Citizen TV’s Becky. They were also blessed with a son, but he died in 2015 at just 6 months, while receiving treatment at the Agha Khan Hospital.

While opening about his death earlier this month, J Blessing admitted that the death contributed in him partying ways with Chantelle in some way. They were together for 5 years..

“I would say yes and no because we saw it. For me when I was losing everything, I remember telling the mother of my child that you see we’ve lost so many things, I don’t wanna lose you. But you can’t tell God what to do. Even now we talk, she is my friend. We laugh about other things.” he said in an interview.

In 2019, Laika, a Kenyan Musician, also confessed to having a child with J Blessing four years earlier. She however labeled the producer as a dead beat father.

“I was in a relationship with J Blessing but he left me. I was hurt, so I took a break. Yes, he denied the pregnancy, I do not like talking about this issue. He helped for a while after the delivery but for now he does not do anything,” Laika opened up in an interview with Milele FM.

Laika welcomed her second child with her mzungu lover in May 2021.
