Comedian Eric Omondi has rescued a woman named Joyce Naserian who was arrested and jailed for shouting in Nairobi Central Business District.

According to Naserian, she was sentenced to three months in prison because she could not pay a cash bail of Ksh 10,000.

The saleslady had been taken to central police station by the city council officers and later taken to Lang’ata women’s Prisons.

“I  came to Langa’ta Women’s prison on February 9,2022 and I will be released on April 9. I was working in town at Old Nation House, next to the fire station and when I shouted to call  a customer, city council officers came and arrested me and took me to central police station,” she said

The comedian took to Facebook on Saturday, March11, and shared a video of Joyce narrating events that led to her arrest and imprisonment.

He appealed to anybody with information about Naserian to contact him. A day after his post, Eric gathered enough information and went to Lang’ata Women’s prison to help Naserian.

“With SIMON KIBE PAGE Njeraini Ciitu/wathire ku? at Langata Women Prison, waiting for the release Naserian who was featured on Njeraini Ciitu,” the comedian said.
