Controversial TikToker Nyako, real name Rose Atieno, has revealed that she used to be a prostitute.

In a recent interview, after landing in Kenya from Germany, the TikToker said that she got her nickname from the streets.

“Nyako came from the streets. I used to be a prostitute. That is where the name came from, From the ‘Njeri’s’ they gave me that name,” she said in an interview with Vincent Mboya.

She however noted that she is not ashamed of her past and can not run away from it, rather what she can do is change what she does now, because it made her what she is now.

At the same time bragged about being the only Luo that books airspace in Europe, noting that she would be so worried to walk in the streets of Nairobi. She added that she prefers Germany to Kenya because she feels safer there, although she said that that is not why she walked with heavy security after arriving.

“I am very powerful kwa ground, I am in a different category,” she explained.

She further spoke about her job as a bus driver. She said that she was glad to have lost it since other doors opened after the loss.

I lost my job through TikTok. I was working with a very very delicate department. American military. Was working with young kids where I was a bus driver. I was targeted with jealous people on TikTok and they collected my videos which were not good for children and they sent it to that department. I had a court case which I won against my boss and am not going to drive the bus anymore,” she said.

She refers herself to Jack of all trades, since she can clean, cook, drive the bus, build something and many more.
