Tanzanian Artiste Aslay has come up with a new explanation to what he thinks led to the split of  popular boy band Yamoto with Mkubwa Fella as their manager.

Through Clouds FM’s Amplifaya, Aslay claimed that Yamoto reached a point where they let their greed get ahead of them thus marking the beginning of problems in the band.

He said that to an extent the signing  of Rayvanny to the WCB Wasafi label in a huge way led to the group to not blossom together but independently which caused a rift in the band’s collaboration.

Aslay recalled recalled that when Rayvanny was ingrained  into WCB Wasafi as one of the label’s artist , they were on a music tour abroad and when they learnt that he was been a given a posh car after the signing each of them saw it fit to go their own way since the earnings from the band were meagre.

“Nakumbuka wakati Rayvanny anatoka, sisi tulikuwa tuko Europe Tour, huko Ulaya. Rayvanny akapewa RAV4 kipindi kile nakumbuka. Pale ndio tamaa zilianza kuja,” he said.

He claimed that Rayvanny was the first to leave Yamoto Band then later the other band members followed suit.

Aslay admitted that their boss Mkubwa Fella tried to stop the boy band from separating but it was rather too late as they had already made up their minds to part ways and undertake their craft individually.

Rayvanny  was a back up singer alongside Madee Ali  at Yamoto band before joining Wasafi in 2015.
