Singer Akothee has caused mixed reactions among her fans after claiming that she suffered from AIDS.
Akothee made the sarcastic comment while responding to a netizen who demanded to know what illness she had been battling from 2019 to 2021.
“Sema tu ukweli what is ailing you?” the fan told Akothee after she recalled the tough times she went through a few years back.
“AIDS,” she responded.

In her post, Akothee said that her illness was a result of ‘bad spirits’ moving around her and it was her role as an individual to bring herself out of the situation. Below is the full post she shared on her social media channels;
