Kenyan songbird and actress Sanaipei Tande has shared details of what led to her departure from the popular TV series Kina.

The singer played the lead role of Nana Tandala until Friday when Maisha magic announced that she will be replaced by Mbeki Mwalimu.

On Monday, through a Facebook post, Sanaipei said that she chose to leave the show because of exhaustion and that she frequently needed rest. Due to that, it was necessary to find a replacement because of the nature of the show.

“Wow! Where to begin….Well, many of you are aware that I am no longer playing the role of Nana Tandala in the ongoing series KINA. There has been a lot of speculation as to why this is, with an array of reasons being thrown around. For clarification and accuracy, I chose to leave due to exhaustion and consequently much needed rest. Because of the nature of the show, it was necessary to find a replacement to allow for your continued entertainment,” the actress revealed.

She added that she enjoyed playing the role of Nana and will surely miss it. She also thanked those who have shown her support and love, as well as Kina cast, Maisha Magic family and Zamaradi productions for the four seasons of great work.

At the same time she wished her replaced all the best and hoped that she will also be back on the screens soon.

“I wish my successor Mbeki Mwalimu all the best as she tackles the ups and downs of the wife, mother, boss, brute and of ofcourse Auntiiieeee 🤣 that is NANA MANDI TANDALA. I look forward to being back on your screens soon,” she said.
