Banisa MP Kullow Maalim Hassan has died after being hit by a boda boda rider in South C, Nairobi.

The MP died on Tuesday night while receiving treatment at the Agha Khan hospital where he had been admitted at in ICU.

According to his family, the MP encountered the accident on March 25 and the rider fled the scene.

Maalim was elected on a Kenya Kwanza ticket and he becomes the first MP of the 13th parliament to pass away.

Several political leaders have mourned his death death, while referring to him as a dedicated and committed leader. Here are some of their condolence messages.
