Media personality Betty Kyallo walked down the aisle on October 2, 2015. Her marriage to journalist Dennis Okari however lasted 6 months only yet they had dated for four year.

During The Wicked show with Dr. King’ori, Betty spoke  about her failed marriage saying she doesn’t understand what really transpired.

According to her, her wedding dress might have been the cause of the problem.

“It’s something that I still wonder about to date. We dated for four years. I don’t know what happened but I think the problem lied with the white dress. I just feel maybe its that pomp and color,” she said and when on to explain about the African beliefs on exposing so much about one’s life.

She also noted that both she and her ex-husband moved on and are doing well right now.

“Africans usually say that when you expose something so much or make noise about something,[there are] macho mbaya, it could be anything but I believe that If it was not meant to be you can’t force something. Right now we are in different parts we are all happy we are friends. It is not a must that when you have been together with someone your marriage will last 100 years,” the mother of one said.

Betty Kyallo further noted that Kenyans have never forgotten about her wedding, and never cease reminding her about it whenever an opportunity arises.
