Yesu wa Tongaren

Controversial Bungoma preacher Eliud Wekesa, popularly known as  Yesu wa Tongaren,  has lodged a complaint against  journalists and reporters for failing to give him monetary appreciation after interviewing him.

According to him, his informants claim that he has made the media people rich but they don’t give anything in return even as little as a thousand shillings for soda.

“Jambo la mwisho wanahabari sitahofia kuongea hili wengi wananiambia nimewafanya hawa wanahabri wametajirika sana. Lakini hata wakija huko nyumbani hawanipeiko hata soda. Wacha niseme waskie. Hata kupea yesu shilingi 1000 akunywe soda ni ngumu sana lakini naskia watu wakisema mbnona hawakupei kitu mnakaa tu. Hilo jambo liko wenye huwa mnakuja huko,”Finally, I wont fear to speak out, many are telling me that I have made reporters very rich. But when they come to my home they don’t appreciate me. Others wonder why they don’t appreciate me) ” he said.

The preacher however noted that cares less about the token because his job of being ‘christ’ did not come easily.

“Hii kazi wakati nilipokea haikuja kwa njia rahisi. Wengi waliniita mimi ni mwendawazimu, mgonjwa na kweli nakubali kwasababu wakati nilikutana na afya na uzima nilijikuta nahubiri injili(When I received this calling, it did not come easily. Many claimed I was mad, sick and I accept because when I became healthy and full of life, I found myself preaching the gospel.
