Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has warned individuals with malicious plans to of extorting Kenyans over drought aid of stern punishment by law and God.

“We want to tell those con men and cartels seeking to take advantage of this difficult situation to con people money that they will not know peace in their lives,” he said adding that its ungodly and unacceptable.

Gachagua said these during the launch of the National Steering Committee on drought response on 25thNovember which will be chaired by Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa.

He however ,called on the public to be careful not to fall prey of cons stating that the payments will be made through a specific paybill which will be shared with the public.
