Cristiano Ronaldo has remarkably admitted that he doesn’t have respect for Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag as he feels that the Dutchman has not shown him any respect either.

Ronaldo stated this In an interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTV released by The Sun on Sunday night.

“I don’t have respect for him (Ten Hag) because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” Ronaldo said in the interview.

Ronaldo made a stunning return to Old Trafford in September 2021 from Juventus, 11 years after departing for Real Madrid but things went rogue when the club failed to qualify for UEFA Champions League leading to the Portuguese icon pushing for a summer exit.

The Portuguese forward recently stormed down the tunnel before a game had ended, after refusing to come on as a substitute, and he’s now revealed all in an interview.

Ronaldo has claimed that Manchester United have betrayed him and a section of people at the club have tried pushing him out.

“Honestly I shouldn’t say that, I don’t know, but listen, I don’t care. People should listen (to) the truth.

“Yes I feel betrayed and I feel that some people don’t want me here (at United), not only this year but last year too.”

Ronaldo went ahead to talk a blow on his club criticizing the club on some of their decision when comes to hiring of coaches.

“I don’t know what’s going on. Since Sir Alex Ferguson left I have seen not evolution in the club. The progress was zero.

“For example, an interesting point is how a club like Manchester United sacked Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer), they bring in a sporting director Ralf Rangnick which is something nobody understands. This guy is not even a coach! A big club like Manchester United bringing in a sporting director surprised not only me but all the world.

Ronaldo’s contract with United expires at the end of the 2022/23 season, but the club has the option to extend it for another year
