Former NTV news anchor Larry Madowo has caused a stir on social media after sharing a photo of himself applying make-up in the streets of Casablanca in Morocco.

Larry, who currently works at CNN, said that he was getting ready to go for a live session and asked his fans to forget about toxic masculinity.

Getting ready to go live on CNN from Casablanca  Forget toxic masculinity, even men wear makeup on TV,” he captioned his photo.

“The useful label on the back is thanks to Heather in CNN Hair & Makeup Atlanta who didn’t trust me to find the right one,” he added.

The photo has however caused mixed reactions among his netizens with Kamau Maurice informing him that the photo will be forwarded to chairman of the  men’s conference to determine his fate.

“We will be forwarding this photo to the chairman, men’s conference. The council will determine whether you will appear in the next conference or not,” the twitter user said.

Others however defended Larry saying that that is the new trend and most male celebrities apply make-up before going for live shows. Here are reactions of netizens drawn from different social media platforms.

Mungereti: Unatembea na briefcase mtu anafikiria ni missile launcher kumbe ni make up kit.

Kelvin Kiptoo: Some men are hiding behind bars. It is just a matter of time.

Jackline Ogutu: I am just surprised that most of you aren’t aware that these male celebrities you see on TV do apply make up before live show.

Carol Raks: See what the west has turned our men into.

Shaddy Sang: Huyu anahitaji punishment ya wazee
