A five-storey building that collapsed in the wee hours of this morning at Ruaka in Kiambu County has claimed the life of two people and left one sustaining injuries.

According to the rescue team led by Kiambu County Governor Kimani Wamatangi and The Kenya Defence forces, one person is feared to still be trapped inside the remains of the building that was under construction.

The building in question is reported to have collapsed to at around 3:30 am and fell adjacent to a building just a day after a 7-storey building that was still under construction collapsed in Seasons, Kasarani claiming the lives of 3 people.

The rescue mission is still ongoing to save potential victims.
